Eddie O'Toole - Managing Director
Eddie has over 16 years’ experience in the Homecare Sector having been the Operations Director of Bluebird Care (Ireland) from its inception in 2008 to when he became Managing Director of Bluebird Care (Dublin South) in January 2017. A former Director and Vice-President of Home and Community Care Ireland (HCCI), Eddie has been involved in many projects and processes in conjunction with The Health Service Executive at a senior level and has gained vast experience in running a successful and quality driven Homecare Services business. “Bluebird Care (Dublin South) has gone from strength to strength over the last number of years and that is undoubtably due to the exceptional team of Carers, Nurses and indeed Administration staff that, together with our focus on the quality of care provided, makes a real and positive difference to the lives of so many people within our community.
Laura Keenan - General Manager & CNM3
Laura has overall responsibility for the day-to-day management of our services and has over 12 years’ experience managing people at all levels to deliver exceptional, high-quality performance. Laura is motivated by always striving 'to make a difference' and is committed to delivering the highest possible standards of care for all our customers whilst providing a rewarding, fulfilling and enjoyable working environment for all our staff. I decided to make the move into homecare provision as I’m passionate about keeping people young and old, with varying degrees of ability, at home in their own environment amongst family and friends for as long as is possible. I have met amazing people; Carers and Clients and I have learned so much and hopefully, through my work, I have been able to make a positive impact on their lives.
Alan Murphy - Quality and Governance Director
‘Alan brings to Bluebird care considerable experience in healthcare Risk management, Quality and compliance having spent 20 years working in this area. His focus is on ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and to also ensure we are delivering services of the highest quality
Nathan Sweeney - Recruitment & HR Manager
Nathan had been working as a hospitality manager for several years within Ireland and the UK. He loves working with people and ensuring they are being looked after. Bluebird was the perfect opportunity for Nathan to transfer those skills to help ensure we are recruiting the best talent and keeping the team happy & engaged.
Karen O'Sullivan - Office Manager
Karen, better known as “K” is our exceptional Office Manager. Joining the Team in early 2022 K’s vast experience in the Hotel & Catering Industry both internationally and locally has proved invaluable in the general day-to-day running and management of the office and administration Team. In 1988, after many years abroad, K purchased a small 48-seater café in Ranelagh village and spent the next 20 years serving tasty brekkies to her many customers, with Hobarts Café being shortlisted many times for the Irish Independent’s best café awards. Her many regulars included politicians, actors, writers, students, families and the entire platoon of motorcycle police! K’s fungible skill set of attention to detail, organizational ability, and innate understanding of customer service has brought the role of Office Manager to a completely new level. With excellent communication skills K relishes the challenge of helping support our vulnerable Clients and Care Staff providing a listening ear and understanding their individual needs. The sacrifices made by caregivers often go unnoticed, but their impact is immeasurable.
Sinead Doyle- Clinical Nurse Manager 2 Complex Care
Sinead, our Paediatric Clinical Nurse Manager 2, has dedicated her career to paediatric nursing, bringing a wealth of experience across all areas of the field. After living and working in the UK for 11 years, she joined Bluebird Care Dublin South in 2022. Sinead oversees a team of nurses who provide care to children in their homes, always striving to uphold the highest standards to ensure our young people receive the best possible care.
Henry Chidi-Opara - Complex Care Coordinator
With a bachelor's in internal relations and law, a master's in business, as well as prior experience in business management and client coordination, Henry recently joined the Blue Bird team. He intends to bring his varied experience to the coordination team in order to deliver a smoother experience for both the nurses and the client.
Siobhan Salmon- Clinical Nurse Manager 2 Complex Care
Siobhan brings over 17 years of paediatric nursing experience, specializing in delivering exceptional patient care. Her passion lies in ensuring the best possible experience for patients and their families. Siobhan is dedicated to promoting the well-being of children with complex needs, advocating for their ability to thrive and reach their fullest potential within the comfort of their homes. As part of the team with Bluebird Care South Dublin, Siobhan's commitment to high-quality care and her understanding of the unique challenges faced by these children and their families makes her an invaluable asset in the field of pediatric community nursing.
Simon Palmero- Clinical Nurse Manager 1 Complex Care
I Pursued my nursing degree in Finland, driven by a deep passion for this profession. Being a nurse has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. With 25 years of nursing experience, I've had the privilege of caring for patients ranging from transitional one-week-old babies to seniors over 100 years old. It’s been a joy to provide holistic care to the patients, addressing not just their medical needs but also supporting their families and friends. Each experience reaffirms my love for nursing and the meaningful connections I’ve built over the years. Having the opportunity to bring this passion to Bluebird Care is truly exciting.
Roxana Radvan- CNM - Older Person Services
Roxana finished Nursing School in Romania in 2017 trained in an Intensive Care Unit. After which moved to Ireland, to do Nursing, which gave her a position in the Nursing Homes in Co. Cork and following on to Dublin. Roxana will be a Team leader for our Health Care Assistants, bringing her experience and knowledge to support our HCA's out on the road.
Camila Costa - Care Coordinator
Camila worked as a health care assistant with Bluebird care Dublin South previously and returned to the team as a coordinator after gaining years of experience elsewhere. "I'm very excited to be part again of Bluebird's team. It's good to see again the 'old' members and meet the 'new' ones. I'm looking forward to the new experiences and meeting all the carers."
Taynara Willmann - Operations Manager (Older Person's Services)
Taynara has a degree in advertising and started with Bluebird three years ago as a Health Care Assistant. Knowing the dynamic of the road and with good communication with the carers and customers, she brought her experience to assist the Rostering Team. Now, Tay oversees the expert delivery of our Older Person's Services as our Operations Manager.
Caitriona O'Brien- Recruitment Coordinator
Caitriona O'Brien joins us as part of the recruitment team looking after Administration for Health Care Assistants. Coming to us after 20+ years in the Beauty and Wellness Industry and is excited by a new challenge while still looking after the wellbeing of people.
Kerri Rogers - HR Administrator
Kerri is furthering her studies here at Bluebird Care Dublin South. She is currently studying recruitment & HR while gaining all the relevant training in the office. Kerri is also in charge of our social media, creating some creative & relevant content across all our platforms. "I am grateful to be a part of a company that makes a difference. Evelyn Luque- Accounts & Finance
Evelyn joined Bluebird in 2020 as a Health Care Assistant with a background in business and has a degree in Business Managment and International Business. Evelyn has since been promoted to the role of HR Administrator. "I feel completely grateful for being part of a wonderful company that makes a meaningful difference in our lovely clients' life, Bluebird made me feel welcome since the first day and the memories I have built all over the years have had a significant impact in my life."
Bernardo Toretta- On Call Coordinator
’Bernardo has experience in veterinary medicine, and since 2021 he has been expanding his horizons by exploring the healthcare area to gain more knowledge. Bernardo gained experience as an HCA and is now bringing his knowledge as one of our care coordinators and taking care of our On Call emergency line.’’
Wendy Ortega - On Call Coordinator & Office Admin
Wendy is an Industrial Engineer with a master's degree in finance business management. She has previous experience in Account Management and Logistics. She joined Bluebird in 2022 as a Health care Assistant and was promoted to the role of On Call Coordinator & Office Admin. She is the link to ensure our services continue to run smoothly outside office hours.
Anahi Villarreal - Supervisor
Anahi has been an integral part of our company since 2022, when she started as a Healthcare Assistant. Her exceptional skills, dedication and positive attitude quickly set her apart, leading her to be named one of our seven team leaders. Recently, she was promoted to Supervisor of the Older Person & Disabilities Services of the Older Person & Disabilities Services department, a role she earned thanks to her extensive knowledge, experience, and natural leadership abilities. With a degree in Food Engineering and over 10 years of experience in quality control and customer service, Anahi brings a unique blend of technical expertise and compassionate care to everything she does. Her background equips her to provide the high standards of care that our clients deserve. “I’m incredibly grateful and happy to be part of Bluebird. Lucy is one of our office dogs, she likes to sit back and observe our guests throughout the day - and she might join you for lunch.

Jess is another member of the office dog squad. Jess likes to welcome our guests- you could say she is our front of house.
Scout
Last but definitely not least, we have Scout, Eddie's partner in crime. Scout will check up on everyone throughout their day to make sure they are getting all their work done!

Bluey is our mascot! You may see him at our events. Bluey absolutely loves attention and will take photos with everybody!
