Job Title: Paediatric Nurse – Home Support Job Location: Dublin West Hours: Full-time and part-time night nursing shifts available (Day Shifts & Night Shifts) Role of Registered General Nurse: To provide safe, quality, person-centred care to a Child within their home environment. The successful candidate will be part of a Nurse-led care team providing clinical care in a home setting. The ideal candidate will have experience in Paediatric care and be able to work flexible hours, including day and night shifts. Responsibilities include… Provide nursing care to a child Gastrostomy tube feeds via feeding pump Competent in all tracheostomy care, changing of ties, suctioning and changing tube in an emergency situation Management and administration of nebs and suctioning Monitoring for signs and symptoms of respiratory distress Pressure area care Medication Management Seizure management Care of a child with a disability Manage enteral feeding and medication Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) Manage seizures Provide play and family support Provide excellent evidence-based nursing care, implementing all aspects of care plans based on the needs identified. Prioritise the needs and comfort of the client. Promote abilities, independence, and safeguard the client’s interests at all times Work closely in partnership with family members and the clinical team Communicate effectively with the client, family, clinical team, and MDT, reporting on the client’s clinical needs as required.
